Workshop day at Band on the Wall

We recently spent the day at Band on the Wall with a group of students who are studying the Design Engineer Construct course. Their brief is to design a live music venue.

Our Band on the Wall project is being used as a case study on the international GCSE level course. We have worked closely with Band on the Wall, Alder Grange School and DEC to create a programme which has allowed the students to experience live performances, meet the project consultants and the client team.

The students got to experience different genres of music, from electronic and acoustic mixed artist Marco Woolf, indie rock from the fantastic Escapades and contemporary classical unapplied music from the Royal Northern Collage of Music.

It was a really rewarding day all round, we’re looking forward to seeing how the projects progress and how the case study project informs the evolving curriculum.
