Birtenshaw School Update

Work is progressing at Birtenshaw School – a specialist new build school for children and adults with complex health and learning requirements.

Through the recent completion of the steel frame and the on-going construction of the external walls the form of the building is beginning to take shape. The scheme includes key internal spaces such as a pool, a hall and a large internal courtyard, all designed to further learning within the school.

The retained clusters of mature trees surrounding the site will create the opportunity for the school to develop an interwoven relationship between nature and learning.

The project is due to complete in Summer 2022.
